Consider that the United States has less than 5% of the world's population. From your website:

Assults by country (43.6%)

Rapes by country (30%)

Total crimes by country (34.1%)


You say:

that means our legal system works and that we have PENALTIES for crime.

it DOES NOT MEAN OUR CRIME RATE IS HIGHER.

it means OUR PROSECUTION SUCCESS RATE IS HIGHER, and that WE DEAL WITH OUR PROBLEMS.



So I ask you then, what sort of statistic WOULD mean that our crime rate is higher?

Prosecutions by country (64.6%)

Prisoners by country (the stats you posted above, but in a pie chart format)
