Hoopie is on a distinguished road
Hi there again, TitanX5. You are right, if JonK said he had a broken leg or a severed arm, I would recomend to him to go to the ER, not a chiro problem. He never mentioned those things or a spondy grade 3. You're right we can't correct a spondy like that. (You did see the sentence that I wrote immediatley after that quote from me you used?) But a chiro would be remis to neglect the rest of the spine on a person with a spondy like that.

Misconception No. 1. Chiropractic is not a treatment for pain. It is not a treatment for any condition/malady. We adjust subluxations (Vertebra out of alignment). These subluxations cause a mechanical interference to our nervous system. So could anyone from birth to death can benefit from chiropractic care? Definitely. We help one's nervous system (health) become the best it can be.

I agree with PeteG. Connecting an adjustment to vertebral artery disection is not true. Have you ever tried to take a cadaver and "rack" his neck to try to sever or rip the vertebral artery. It does not happen. These disections happen more in the general population than in chiropractor's offices. Have you ever taken care of a disection of a non manipulated neck? And how many?

It would not have been good for me to say anything regarding surgery or drugs because that is not my field. We do not need to attack anyone else's profession or use scare tactics.

We are all trying to help JonK heal up and become the best he can be. We are all in agreement that conservative care is the best option to start with. And hey the best thing is that we are all here because we love our X5's.

Good luck JonK we really do have your best interest in mind.
