First of all, define "deadly weapon"? Is fork a deadly weapon? It sure is if used to stab somebody with it. Do you value your freedom to own forks? Is car a deadly weapon? It sure is if used as such (remember that dentist woman that ran over her cheating husband 3 times killing him? Next time you see him, ask him if he thinks a car is deadly weapon). Being a weapon is not a property of an object; it's how that object is used. If criminals used forks to rob people at "fork point" then I would consider a fork to be a sufficient self-defense weapon. Until then, I will enjoy my freedom of being able to defend myself with any weapon equal or superior to what criminals may use against me. Freedom is a wonderful thing.
