You are on the right track to repair... You made the right decision, becaues you did confirm that your old DSP was dead. Now, you just need to get your new DSP amp coded in your car.

The DSP amp must be coded to match the car in which it is installed. The coding changes both some equalization and crossover setting to match the car's acoustic characterists, and it tells the DSP amp whether it is instlled in a car with or without navigation. If the nav coding is mismatched, then the amp will shut itself down after about 30 seconds.
