Wow, now I really thought I had been in a bad hail storm. It was Bibione, Italy (approx. 60miles north of Venice) summer 1998. 9 friends ond I drove there in 3 cars for a 2 week vacation. I had a Peugeot 605 V6, 2nd car was a 2yr old Honda Civic Coupe, 3rd car - Seat Toledo GT. Ahh those were the days.
It was all about wine, beach and great weather until the hail storm. We were all dressing up to go clubbing when the storm hit us. There "snowballs" were the size of ping pong balls and big enough to smash headlights, dent the hell out of the black civic and crack windscreens in all cars. Insurance laws back then were a lot tougher and it took a while for us students to claim damages
