As badly as I'd want to kill him, I would let the legal system run its course. If I killed him, I would be put in prison, which would just add to my daughter's trauma.

Child molesters should go to prison for life and NEVER be released -- no exceptions. The recidivism rate for this sickness is close to 100%. If released, 99% will DO IT AGAIN.
