the nicething about the factory systems are unlike the add ons which frequently loose satallite coverage when by big buildings,tree cover,mountains etc the factory systems are tied into the vehicle drive train...they can fill in the blanks with info coming from the transmission data...ever have your gps reverse the directions when backing up?...factory systems recognize reverse gear and wont reverse on you
