I guess BMW simply realised that some of its customers are very understanding and don't mind putting up over US50k to purchase a "new generation" car which has a nice "old" gadget removed (and consider it a good thing

To be honest, people have been asking from various forums (and marcx5 is obviously one of them) that whether this E70 still has the adjustable ride height function (since people doesn't see any reference to it from the printed materials). In other words, this feature is important and should not be neglected when the E70 is launched in Oct/Nov, IMO.
