Hey Gang,
It recently occured to me, I shared photo's with you all of my 997 TT pre-delivery but I never updated you all.
So last month, on Aug 8, my bro and I flew up to Portland Oregon in the early morning (from LA) and was picked up by my Pcar salesman at the airport.
He drove us to the dealership where "Mr. Animal" sat waiting on the showroom floor.
After a few signatures, the rights to my first unborn male child were signed over to Sunset Imports and I drove away in my 997TT.
We took a 3 day drive bouncing back and fourth to the coast to some great twisty mountain roads in N. California and lower Oregon.
The scenery was incredible, the car was even more so. I have driven many fast cars but Mr. A is simply incredible. It's the fastest vehicle I have ever driven.
It makes you feel as though your eyeballs are being sucked out of your eye sockets and into the back of your brain. The handling is outrageous, you point it, it goes. Everyone on the road stares at it though so it's hard not to get caught picking your nose.
I already have 2500 miles on the car which includes a day at Buttonwillow racetrack.
The only issue I have, is, having now owned my first supercar, I strongly believe that cars like this should not be allowed to be sold without some sort of qualification/license that the driver is actually equipped to handle a vehicle of this type of performance. Some sort of racing school/autox/etc. I worry about the avg. driver in a car like this. And no, I am not nearly the fastest or best driver when I go to the track, but at least I have an understanding of physics and car control. The TT is just ridicilous.
And the sound of the Turbo's sucking air puts a smile ear to ear on me.
Hope you enjoy these pics of the drive.

(Kev, are you buying one? let me know when you want a ride!)
And yes, we did get pulled over once on the drive home... The cop was awful nice and cited us for going +9 over the speed limit. We were going just a bit faster than that
