I not familar with the swan neck that you mentioned, but I have and use this bike carrier for my Yamaha R1...

It attaches directly into the OEM hitch receiver and supports the weight of the rack and the 387+ lbs weight of the bike with no problems.

I've hauled my bikes from MD to NC and back many times with no problems.
