i have the dinan strut bar on my 4.8. And maybe it was just psychological, but my front end did feel a bit stiffer as if it was tied together.
Also from almost every perfromance SUV(from forums i heard)that added a strut bar, ex: FX, ML's, X5's, have felt a diff after installing a strut bar; While regular cars like porsches, M3, m5's, reg 3series', say its mostly a cosmetic look and they dont feel a difference.

So maybe its more of an advantage for big "flimsy" cars like SUV'S/SAV's
