My point was only that the UK did not engage in a conflict that broke any laws (as someone stated), since the Geneva convention is for war conduct and the UN is powereless to enforce the Charter, that makes the charter more worthless than the paper it's written on.

Laws are easy to make, and easier to discuss. They are much harder to enforce, How can a law be broken if there is no one to enforce it? No enforcement = no Law.
