Totally understand your frustration, but thats not the way its "supposed" to work...In fact, the lowest bids hardly ever get awarded, because no acquisition official will allow an award to a bidder thats not "responsIBLE", and equally "responSIVE"...In other words, I see hundreds of companies submit closed bids saying they can "DO THE JOB" with 10 people and 20 bucks a year when they know they're full of SH*T...But another "BIG DOG" company can come in and charge Uncle Sam twice as much, and as long as they address EVERY parameter of the SOW, or proposal request, (being responSIVE) they're in like flynn.....So next time, try putting a few more zeroes and a few more bodies in your bid(s)...It'll probably help a bunch...
Although, talking to friends of mine in K'stan, Af'stan, Iraq, Bosnia, Hungary and the rest, and laughing about how they love to fry hamburgers and mop dorm floors for 100+ grand a year, probably isnt a real confidence booster for guys like yourself...

Of course, you always have the small business advantage!
