Wagner,
I understand your protective nature of these beautiful and mostly friendly animals.. But just google "Rottweiler" and "Kills" or "pit bull" and "Kills" and you will see the reality. There are many of these dogs that have been labeled "harmless as a fly" "a family pet" that have turned and either accidentally killed someone (usually a toddler) or have done so on purpose.
And the insuation that you can compare a racial sterotype to a dog behavior is a huge insult to anyone reading your post. Your comparing human characteristics vs. canine characteristics -- but that's off topic so I won't go there. I understand the arguement you were trying to make, it is logic 101. If A then B = C is a false arguement. I agree. It is a false arguement. But that does not mean that Rottweilers don't kill.
I could go on and on.. But at the end of the day, these pets can be lethal and have proven to be dangerous time and time again. They usually kill kids under the age of 4 for christ sake.
You can champion for the right of the breed all day long. But if you enter a dog run and I'm in it with my dog, I take the simple route. I pack my things and I leave. I don't start arguements with the owner. I don't insist to the owner that they should put there dog on a leash. I just leave.
-- But that doesn't change my opinion. If an ordinace came to my city about outlawing the dog, I'd sign it in a second.
I've seen way too many attacks on people and other dogs from animals that were labeled as "pets" or "part of the family" or "sweet as pie"...
So good luck with your dogs, just keep em away from me.
