Sorry bimerrr - my 'phone is a 6230i. I had exactly the same problems as you & was tearing my hair out for 3 days!! What eventually cured the problem was after pairing, when the screen said "Activate Phone" I removed the cell from it's cradle, switched it off, waited a couple of minutes then switched the cell back on - & PRESTO it worked..... May not work for you though.... Just try it. Rgds.

can u please elaborate on the specific order? you turn ignition key, the BT goes into discovery mode, then car asks for the phone pairing or phone asks to be paried with car's Bluetooth firsrt? also you first enter the pass key in the phone, then the car? or car asks for the passkey first, then you turn the phone off/on then put in the PK in the phone? i know it's alot of Questions, but please elaborate on the steps if you would. many thanks in advance.
