The intention of the iPod is to replace the CD Changer, once it's integrated - the CD Changer is old news. The DICE allows your entire music library (or anyone else's) to travel along with you and allowing steering wheel/radio control and full text display on the radio or NAV screen.
If you're unsure, try the AUX first - I'm positive you'll upgrade to the DICE later.
