Thanks for responding. It is the original battery, so nearly 6 years old.

The only other strange thing that I have noticed is regarding the LCD part of the instrument panel. The part at the bottom that gives the warning message, such as "Door Open", parts of some of the letters do not illuminate. Also, some of numbers in the mileage part, are missing bits. As I drive along, the bits that are missing, change position.

I will take your advice and replace the battery, it is time anyway.
