new pirelli scorpions

hm, i totally forgot to mention this to you guys-

but a month or so ago i finally got some DESPERATELY needed new tires (my old ones were down to the thread lol) ...

so i got "the best rated ones @ the lowest price" that tirerack offered .... which were the P-scorpions.

If i remember correctly, the price for all 4 was about $800(?) but i have to say, compared to my older KUMHO tires -- which admittedly had FANTASTIC performance at a DIRT cheap price (~$130/ea!!) -- they are a blessing if only because they are so much QUIETER lol.

I never realized just how noisy those kum's were ... made my x like a whole new car.

meanwhiel, i can't wait to try the scorpions in the wet ... they're rated at or above the OEM tires in almost every category if i remember correctly, which, of course, is anothe reason why i got them. not to mention, they're cheaper too -- i think, or obviously i'd have never got them at the time.

i'll llet you guys know how they are once we finally get some rain down in here SD -- if we ever do lol.

meanwhile, they're dry performancde is ... hard to judge: they complain much more than the kumho's -- lots of screaming and wailing as you start to push harder and harder, although their grip seems to be at least as good i suppose ... but then i obviously haven't properly tested them on public roads.

i guess the only downside to them is they don't "look" particularly "agressive," either with respect to tread pattern and/or shoulder design -- they're very rounded rather than more squared off.

ok that's all
