Sure, been there many times and absolutely
love the place.
They say every country in the world is represented in its architecture and scenery. And of course, if you like the active things there's everything from bungy to jet boating to rafting etc.
As a quick overview, I would recommend the North Island first, then the South Island, or if time is limited then just the south island.
North Island places to go are Bay of Islands and Rotorua. Rotorua has heaps to do as a base.... check out these links of things I recommend
I stayed
here.... then did
bungy, grade 4/5
white water rafting (with an amazing waterfall drop),
jet boat racer,
Zorb, luge,
skyline gondola, an amazing
helicopter flight out to an active volcano at
white island, huka jet,
agrodome. volcanic springs in a
traditional village
The South island is awesome. Places to go are
Fox Glacier,
Franz Josef glacier where you can hike up and/or
heli/hike,
Milford Sound is very like a norwegian fjiord and is a must.
Then there is Queenstown... THE place to go in NZ. There you can have some serious adrenaline rushes.
I have done and recommend
bungy,
shotover jet,
white water rafting,
parachuting,
para gliding,
luge,
I have stayed
here, and
here and they are both very good....
Here is a reference site for Queenstown for you to explore, and
another one.
If you want any further details just holler....
Cheers
