Using the DIP switches to disable text clears the problem, turning off text via the CD6 'routing' function does not. I also tried routing the text to all of the different options without sucess.
For whateven reason it always occurs when switching tracks with the steering wheel controls though as I mentioned it may not occur if I use the Ipod controls. At first I thought it had to do with ID3 tag length but I have seen it happen on tracks without tags.
The Ipod is a video unit with the latest firmware, the Dice link is only a few weeks old. The car also has BMW assist fitted but not enabled if that makes a difference?
DiceLink had me try a different option using the car dip switches but as far as I can tell it has no effect.
Other than that the unit works as described.

The DIP switches should always be set to OFF for BMW applications.
Hold the iPod in your hand and check if the iPod is accessing the HDD whne you are selecting tracks. The iPod only has a 32mb buffer, so pressing the next track repeatedly could be causing the delay.
If not, I assume the module is defective and needs to be replaced.
