LOL..Ive tried, but to no avail..Its funny when there is no credit history in the country...I call Abbey one day for a mortgage, and they give me 220 grand in 2 days. But will they give me a credit card with a £1000 limit? Nope. Not enough history...WTF?!?!

Not really. You have to take the good with the bad. I dont pay Council or Road Tax, (for the most part) and I pay no VAT on 90% of the purchases I make. But I cant get a credit card, and the council wont even pick up my garden waste half the bloody time...LOL..However, I just signed a request on Friday to stay another three years. RyanAir and Tenants Extra Cold make it all worth while...Hopefully they'll say yes... Wish me luck!
