No expert, but in theory, a narrower width tire will
almost always bite better than a steam roller width tire.

As those 20s don't come in many sizes, it leads you to
settle for that very low profile/wideazz tire, even in a
dedicated snow version.

Yeah, the 17s aren't pretty, espc. compared to 20s...

You must have better tire gorillas there then we do:
the last thing I'd want is some 9 buck an hr guy banging
on my rims twice a year.

No native, but we had an operation in Brampton and I did
a lot of time in YYZ area over 25 years and I never ran into
huge snow storms in the Toronto area; Rochester & Buff, yes.

I'm not promoting 20" summer tires for your winter use, though.
