So it wasn't a typo (explorer instead of iexplorer). I agree, they are totally different. Which is why bringing up explorer in a thread about IE is irrelevant. Nice try yourself Gresch.
I was referring to the sharing of HTML rendering services by applications like Outlook and Word. They both rely on IE to show HTML content.

Less code is relative to even more code. Everyone knows Windows is a code pig. It would be even more of a pig if it wasn't the use of common libraries and services.
