These complaints are usually the result of a faulty Navigation Operating software CD.
For points 1-3 for error messages that appear on the display screen, check for the correct software version
and try loading a new Navigation CD.
For a CD that will not eject from the Navigation computer follow the procedure below:
Remove the 1. Navigation computer.
2. Unplug the voltage supply (blue connector).
3. Reconnect the voltage supply and immediately press the eject button repeatedly until the CD in the
drive is ejected.
4. Insert a new Navigation CD and restart the installation process.
The Service Bulletin is absolute crap. Patience is a virtue. Hold the EJECT button for as long as it takes (sometimes up to 3 mins!!). No need at all to start dismantling your car!

Where do you get your misleading instructions (cribbed from the net?). I've been working with BMW SatNav computers for years & what you advise people is absolute tosh!!!
