I appreciate the heads up, Sudesh, and I have no doubt that you saved lots of money by figuring it out and doing it yourself. In fact, since you seem keen on installing these things, I was thinking of asking if you would mind dropping by Seattle and doing mine? (We have similar weather to Ireland much of the year -- you'd feel right at home!)

Many/most of the folks on this board could probably easily do this mod themselves. I, however, am the most mechanically/electrically inept person in the Western hemisphere, and I would undoubtedly cause a major explosion or at very least a total meltdown of my steering column, so it was worth paying extra for a "kit" with simple instructions. Besides, several other folks on this board have used his kits and have said very good things about him, so I'm willing to pay the extra pounds/euros/dollars...
