Yes you can. It will take about 5 minutes to unplug the old TCU and replace it with the new one , and you can easily do this yourself .... however there is a BUT ...

Because it is a Combo BT/Assist module it MUST be coded to your car. The Assist function requires your cars individual VIN # to work correctly. It takes around 15 minutes to code the TCU ... give or take .... (however BMW will charge you a hours labour I'm afraid).
