Although it's the same concept of installing boards on top of the factory plastic ones, I don't think they're the same. The cut is different and there's no "X5" etching which some people liked and others didn't. Also, mine don't stick out as far so they don't rub the back of my leg when exiting the vehicle. If you look closely at their pic, their board consists of a thin layer wrapped around another piece. The one I got is one thick solid piece. But by all means, if you can save even more over the OEM version and still get something you're content with, go for it.
