Congrats - the Epiphone and Line 6 amp is a good deal (esepcially with all the other stuff "thrown in" - Guitar Center? Right?)

You'll get bored on the three top strings pretty quickly - only tunes playable on there are Three Blind Mice and Jingle Bells.

Go to www.chordbook.com and click on the chord generator and scales and start learning the blues and pentatonic scales. You'll start hearing a lot of classic rock and blues songs coming from your very own fingers.

Stick with it - it can be a little frustrating at first - build good fingering habits to minimize the "buzz" and have fun with the amp - that one has the built-in modeling and effects I think...
