My 8,300 pound GVWR trailer tongue weight is 900+ pounds which I weight distribute 1/3 to the front axle of the tow vehicle and 1/3 to the trailer axles. The BMW owners manual recommends 39 psi when the rear is heavily loaded and I've found no problem with their recommendation.
