Traffic.com has agreed to be acquired for $179 million in cash and stock by Navteq Corp., Navteq said Monday.

Traffic.com Inc. (NASDAQ:TRFC) collects digital traffic information in 50 metropolitan areas, including Baltimore. The Wayne, Pa.-based company delivers the information to TV and radio stations, Web site operators, other companies (including Navteq) and individual subscribers to its services via their computers, mobile phones and personal digital assistants.
