The new V8 M3 will not have valvetronic just like the new V10 in the M5 and M6 do not have valvetonic. So dont worry about it. Just wait for the new M3 because it is going to be nasty. and will run circles around the e46 m3.
No Mcar will ever have valvetronic. Because of the loss of throttle respose and smothness and predictability of linear acceleration. Valve tronic is only good for gas mileage which is why all other BMWs either have it or will have it. I think it is a great technology for an everday car but it would suck on an Mcar.
