I would suggest using the subway while in Manhattan, quick and easy way to get around, subway stop right near the hotel.

No prob with the subway. I grew up in northern NJ, so I am not a newbie to NYC. Its just been 12 years+ since I have lived there, so I am not so in touch with stuff these days.
