Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, not wear items.

Maintenance plan covers wear items, although it differs by country. For example, in Canada we get planned maintenance items (oil, filters, etc) but not the full maintenance plan unless we pay extra. In the USA (your profile shows you are in the USA) you have the full maintenance plan included as standard, as long as you are not over the time and distance limits.
