I see. Well, if your aftermarket sub and amp are decent, and set to play up to 80hz, then you really don't gain anything by letting the factory subs play. However, there is no harm really in letting them play. They don't play loud enough to add anything at all to your aftermarket sub (in my opinion). Can you remind me what amp and sub you added?

Did you 'tap' the OEM sub wires before they go into the OEM amplifier, or did you take the signal from the wiring that goes into the OEM sub enclosure? There are several articles on sub wiring and not sure which one you followed. In other words, are you using the high-level inputs on your new amp? Assuming you did not disconnect anything, the OEM sub should still be playing but I would be surprised if you can really hear them over your aftermarket sub.

How is your crossover set on your new sub amp? Are you using a low-pass filer or letting it play full range (which will be 80hz and down from the OEM sub signal)?
