Also does this mean that you can only have one phone paired with the car at a given time? Or is it attached to the key-profile so if my wife uses her key she uses her phone and it pairs and works, but if you use only one key only one phone pairs.
The 2005 combo Assist/BT module is made by Motorola and should have no problems pairing with the V3 whatsoever. You can have up to 4 phones paired to the vehicle. It's a FIFO (first in first out) setup, so when a 5th phone is paired then the 1st one that was originally paired is dropped off. To my knowledge there is no way to delete (or "unpair") the phone from a car with the Motorola module.

The phone configuration / pairing is independent from the key profile and should have no bearing on this.

I assume the V600 is still working fine, correct? If so, I would suspect that there is either a problem with the V3's bluetooth configuration or even a problem with the phone itself. If possible, try getting your hands on another V3 and see if it experiences the same problem.
