On a similar topic, is there any way to 'code' the Bluetooth ULF 'MIT SES' to accept Imperial voice commands? Mine responds to things like "400 feet", "100 meters" and "1 kilometer" but not to "900 yards" or "1 Mile". Any ideas?
Richard. If there is a way with this tool to change the Key Coding of the instrument cluster you would be able to code anything. The Ibus sets the language.

I have a tool that connects to the i bus and sends messages to set the ULF module in a programming mode in order to set to any language. The problem is that once you set the language of the ULF, the IKE overrides the language settings with info on the i bus.

If you could change the cluster language you can change the ULF module language.

Key coding should be pretty simple using this tool, if the hex stings were known. Also, it might be possible to put the instrument cluster in it's programming mode to change the language. I think it is one of the options when you turn the key to the first position when holding the milage reset button. That should change the ULF module language.
