Pretty certain Richard that the only way to select any video is via the Ipod UI. The reason for this is that the Apple disable the video access through their API. Normally when a 3rd party product says it supports video ipod playback, there a small disclaimer that says that video selection must be done through the ipod itself, rather from say a 3rd party generated UI.
