Ok, I would like to express my issues on this point even though it is a departure from the opinions of the group.

Yes, taking down the Christmas trees was wrong, but so was not having up a menorah to begin with. Or are there no Jews in Seattle?

Secondly, I think many of you misunderstand the real issue behind the "Holiday/Christmas" argument. The reason this has become an issue in the last few years is actually (at least in my opinion) somewhat deserved.

-- For as long as this country continues to blur the lines between church and state (which has been prolific in last few years). People are going to fight certain extreme examples as a way of evening the playing field. So it's not so much about being Politically Correct, it's more about not having religion (especially if it's just one religion) becoming "state sanctioned". And if holiday's are going to be considered, recognized, PAID FOR BY TAX DOLLARS, then everyone deserves the right to enjoy it equally.

The right thing to do would have been to leave the trees and add a menorah. Or nothing at all.
