I had avoided reading the post, and then prolonged any commentary, suspecting it was, well, what it is!
Not that I presume to be the literary critic or even a semi-qualified editor here, but that Was pretty funny.
Otoh, it may have been legit, in it's initial form, but I doubt it was actually submitted as an assingment in any HS in the ol'RedZone USA,

.
The "teacher's" red pen was sorta on track, but really slid over a truckload of horrible syntax, crummy paragraphs, poorly done 'thesis', some spelling errors, etc. I laughed out loud at the "author's" references...whatever happened to Cliffs Notes, et al. A quick look at the Net finds a mountain of essays and term papers, hot and juicy, waiting for a download. Jeeshhh, I'm glad I bailed from that teaching gig way back. No dis to those that do, but it has become, I suspect, a nearly thankless profession.
No Xpert here, but having taught one yr of HS English to a gang of thugs, dropouts, 3rd yr seniors and B Ball wannabes back in the Motor, and a v. enlightening stint as a TA pitching "Freshman Comp" in the U for a year, I would have enjoyed railing and ranting at that purveyor of gonzo-like composition.
With all that drivel said, I enjoyed it...I jes'hope the Utes coming up the ramp are as smart and tuned in as they portray and comport themselves to be.
2B or not 2B...
