Never offered in Canada (or the US) due to emissions legislation. We eventually got low-sulphur fuel in North America this year, which the more modern European automotive diesels need, but the diesels offered in Europe do not meet the previous emissions rules here, or the new stricter 2007 requirements. Until the next generation of emission-controlled diesel engines is out, we won't see them. Even then, they are likely to use separate tanks of ammonia (urea) to help the catalysts.
