SANguru is on a distinguished road
sorry to hear but it's often better that way... forces you to review your skillsets... maybe I was lucky but I went from a large money manager to a consulting company to a large data storage company.. complete 180 each time but 40K payraise from EACH jump... stay positive and start networking... best way to get in the door.

So me and 5 of my colleagues (average of over 10 years of service each) were let go today.

At least a) I have a decent severance package and b) I have a few irons in the fire - so to speak - for other opportunities. My last day is Friday, so I'll just be hanging out for the next couple of days.
We're still going to Florida on Saturday (which reminds me I need to post some pictures with the X loaded with kiddie stuff as proof the machine really is practical!!) and we'll be enjoying EVERY minute of the trip.

Thanks for letting me post this here, and wish me luck.
