Wagner,

Your arguement would be valid if I were fighting against Christmas trees. Which I, nor any other Jew that I know is against.
Matter of fact, the people who do have the problem with the Christmas trees are usually "former" Christians or aethiests, NOT JEWS.

I think the only argument you heard coming from the Jews (and Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi at that) is that they would also like to see a Menorah added to the holiday decorations. (yes, he was wrong for his approach) and for those of you not familiar with Lubavith, they are extremely religious and non-secular.

But I also noted, Lou Dobbs was very happy to point out, that a menorah has still not been put up. "Christmas trees have sprung back up throughout the concourse, and no, not a single menorah has been spotted. I can only hope this is the beginning of a major movement in America, one that regards thinking as paramount to phony feelings and heightened self-centered sensitivities."

Would it really have been that un-Christmas like to add a Menorah to the concourse at this point?

So please stop thinking that it's the Jews that are against Christmas. We're not. We enjoy the time off from work and school and mostly, it's great to see most of the world in a festive atmosphere sharing wealth, love and happiness.

But that doesn't mean, Happy Holidays is an inappropiate greeting either. Again, it's universal and can and should be used interchangably.
