But i tend to agree that any time someone comes along that preaches anything near what people want to hear the wheels of the status quo step in and try to undermine the whole process. I don't know if the planets can align enough for either of these folks to get a foothold. A Woman president? Hmmm hard to see it. A Black President? An even longer shot IMHO. I believe like md that there are a lot of unknown forces that shape who finally becomes president and those same forces determine who will not. The media plays a part because they try everything they can to dig up every morsel of dirt on anyone who runs for public office. Weather it's true or not makes no difference. As long as it speculation that improves ratings thats all that counts.
