To clay your car, you mist it with detailing spray (or water) and lightly rub it with the clay bar... I can do the whole X in 15-20 minutes.
I recommend 3M Perfect-It III Cleaner Clay which you can get at any NAPA Auto or
Blackfire Poly Clay. Meguiars sells a clay bar that comes with the spray, but the bar is small and the kit overpriced IMO.
