I also looked at this system a few months back. My 01' X5 did not come with navigation. The local BMW dealer told me it would run around around $3K to replace/install the wiring harness, that did not include any of the navigation equipment. I really wanted a factory "look" for my navigation, but on the other hand, I can do a lot for $3,000.00 and opted to go with a Garmin Nuvi 660 instead. Good luck.
