this might have happen to me today.
I had the car turned off, was putting on my license plate, and then closed the trunk.

about 2 hours later when i was going out, started the car and it said trunk open. I then pressed to unlock trunk, heard the latch unlock, and closed it again and the sign went off. Weird...but will pay attention if it happens again.
