I always go to BMW of San Francisco. I do keep hearing horrible stories about their service, but they're okay.

The first time I went there, they absolutely refused to change my headlights because of condensation. I had to 'prove' all the problems I wanted to have fixed. Well that was with the first assistant service manager I dealt with.

After two more visits, I was reassigned another manager, Filipe Alfaro...I think that's his name. He was very nice and helpful. The first time, he offered to replace the headlights and a bunch of other stuff, including a steering wheel motor. He even gave me a new 330i to drive for a week or so. A couple of other times when I had to bring in the car because some of the things they 'fixed' malfunctioned, he gave me a full tank of gas and car detailing complimentary.

If you go to BMW SF, find Filipe...he's really good at his job, although it takes some effort to get him on his phone.

I've also been to Peter Pan. There's none of the bureaucracy as in SF. Went to get my rear light fixed because of a burnt bulb, they had someone come out with a new housing and fixed it right on the lot in ten minutes. But now I don't have documentation that it was replaced .
