SG,
Butting in here, again...you read like you are driving yourself
crazy! In my low tech opin, there is no perfect/best TV out
there, in any damn size/brand. And, the target keeps moving,
and the prices keep eroding and the tech side keeps going up.
My advice: skip the "too many selections" route and hand wringing,
tell your Bro to cop a TV, plug it in and enjoy it and do not let
buyers remorse seep in. "Next week" that same TV will 200 bucks
cheaper, etc., etc.,etc.
I go through this on occasion, but with the few layers of tech
goodies I've bought over the years, they have all proven to be
quality stuff that worked well and have given months and years
of good service and enjoyment. Once installed and used, they seem
to pale very little, compared to the "next best thing", next week...
My apology for sounding like some wearisome older brother but
if I recall correctly, you are helping your brother shop for a HD
TV, not picking out his future mate, or DNA fix, lol!
Get one, plug the sumbitch in and enjoy it!
My 50Cent is up.
GL, Ol'UncMtr
