One reason I think ED is cheaper is maybe cuz of the different tax BMW pays to ship a new car versus a used one. After all, an ED vehicle is technically "used" becuase you have already driven it a few hundred or a few thousand miles.

Shipping over to the US, shipping insurnace, customs fees and more are all covered, as is driver's insurance for 14 days in Europe. So basically, you just need to pay for your airline ticket and your trip.
