just remember it's same oil filters that were used when bmw recommended changing oil every 3k as well
15k is just another gimmick in their marketing brilliance to lower the owner and themselves cost of maintenance during warranty period, after warranty period is up, they don't care they want you to get a new car or spend $$$ to fix ;p
if you plan on keeping the car for awhile forget 15k forever
